Regular Season Round 27: LG Sakers - Seoul Thunders 84-79

Not a big story in a game when 8th rankedSamsung Thunders (11-18) lost to third ranked Sakers (17-13) in Changwon 79-84 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. LG Sakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Filipino forward Carl Tamayo (200-2001) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Junseok Yang (179-2001) accounted for 16 points and 12 assists for the winning side. Five Sakers players scored in double figures. The former international guard Seong-Mo Choi (183-1994) came up with 24 points and naturalized American guard Justin Gutang (191-1997, college: Skyline JC) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Seoul Thunders in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sakers . LG Sakers maintains third place with 17-13 record having seven points less than leader Seoul Knights, which they share with KoGas. Loser Samsung Thunders keep the eighth position with 18 games lost.
